Beyond the doubt of a shadow

This week’s Weekly Photo Challenge at The Daily post at wordpress.com is “Beyond“

I crafted this image by placing the mysterious symbol painted on the bridge right on the foreground. Beyond, in the shadows, barely visible rectangular forms echo the symbol, creating a visual relationship that draws your eyes back and forth. You doubt what you see, and that creates mystery. Your imagination supplies the narrative.

Light, contrast, composition and narrative, in right measure, are the key ingredients of photography. Beyond the shadow of a doubt.
